Hosted by Angels at Bat
The goal of this conference is to (1) provide baseball coaches across the African continent with training materials and perspectives of coaches in the United States and (2) enable fruitful discussions among new and experienced baseball coaches and trainers in African countries!
This conference will be hosted in a hybrid format whereby pre-recorded materials will be posted to this page on every Monday for four weeks. The final segment of the ABCC will be a panel discussion focused on strategies to grow baseball in African countries. The specific dates that each week’s content will be posted are shown below:
October 23rd - Pitching Skills & Drills, Tim Kelly
October 30th - Psychology of Baseball, Anna Tristani
November 6th - Baseball Practice Management, Andy Bobholz
November 13th - Building a Better Baseball Swing, Paul Wagner
November 18th - Growing Baseball in Africa: A Panel Discussion
The first topic of the ABCC is pitching. This is an essential element of baseball because every single play requires a pitch to be thrown first. However, pitching is one of the hardest parts of baseball due to the high level of skill and consistency required.
